Hi! I'm Julie! I’m a yoga and movement teacher based in Boise, Idaho, and I’ve been teaching since 2014. My work blends functional flow, myofascial release, Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, and Restorative yoga with a deep focus on anatomy, nervous system regulation, and the subtle patterns that shape how we move and feel.
My teaching is rooted in lived experience as much as study. After years of balancing high-stress careers, raising a family, and running a yoga studio, my own body eventually forced me to slow down. I experienced severe neurological symptoms that led to extensive medical testing, where I learned that inflammation and burnout had taken over my nervous system. That moment changed everything. It became the foundation for how I now teach: with precision, honesty, and a deep respect for the body’s signals.
I teach yoga as both education and exploration. Every cue has intention—whether it’s supporting lymphatic flow, calming the vagus nerve, or creating stability through fascial lines and joint integrity. My classes are designed to help students understand not just how to move, but why movement matters.
Across all styles, my approach stays consistent:
- Functional Flow for intelligent, breath-led movement
- Myofascial Release for releasing stored tension and improving mobility
- Hatha for grounding, alignment, and awareness
- Vinyasa for strength, heat, and fluidity
- Yin and Restorative for a deep nervous system reset and recovery
Whether you’re joining a live class or practicing on demand, my goal is the same: to help you reconnect to your body, understand your patterns, and create more freedom in how you move through your life.
